Voting
Guests can vote electronically Saturday night and Sunday morning. They should be sure the hostess has current email addresses for every voter. Voter registration is encouraged to widen the franchise. The hostess will tally the votes out of the public eye, supervised only by the dog and cat.
Then, given the success of the hostess’ Punditry series of outdoor art installations, Hoedown guests can bring their Jell-Os to the hostess’ yard on Hoedown Day or the Sunday morning after to display (remote guests who plan ahead can send a photo for hostess to get printed beforehand as a poster).
On Sunday, Everyone is invited to don masks and wool socks to gather at 2 p.m. Sunday for the Jell-O trophy awards ceremony, hot drinks, songs, re-enactment of Jell-O Contest performance art, conversation, and mask pickup. Indoor plumbing will be on offer, but go in the back door and exit by the front door. This gathering will be shared via Zoom and will be filmed.
