2020 Hoedown guests viewed an earlier cut of Hotdish Hoedown: The Endless Table. The documentary was available online for viewing during the pandemic in early 2021. The producer shared it in Deephaven, Minnesota, with her family on May 26, 2021, after the pandemic subsided. In the wake of pandemic-era rejection by the Minneapolis St. Paul International, Portland (Oregon) and Wisconsin film festivals, the hostess’ Ohio Avenue Productions has turned to her homemade 53704 Frame by Frame Film Festival showcasing narrative and documentary film shot in the 53704 zip code and/or made by current and former residents, workers, students or institutions of the ’04.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2021 virtual and live Hoedown festivities were recorded in case a mocumentary needs to be made about the documentary. That footage remains unviewed by the producer as of January 28, 2024.
